Photographs and Memories

 In about me, new moms

When my little girl was born, my mother pulled out my old baby picture album.  One album, one year, maybe 50 photos, slightly aged (ok, ok, pretty aged…)

I recently realized that my daughter doesn’t have such an album!  Sure, there are pictures, thousands and thousands of them, but what album can she look at as she grows up?  I actually remember the pictures in my albums growing up better than the original events.

So I set to the daunting task of creating such an album – that’s right: braving the mountains of files on the computer (can this thing go any faster?).  Wait a minute, what about the phone and the tablet? Ok, so there is work to be done.

And then there is another problem – most of the pictures are just of her! (because she was just doing something so cute!)  Where are those pictures with the caption: “Aunt Flow holding baby Lili at the holiday dinner”??  So I ceremoniously notified my husband that we are not taking enough pictures of the child and the child’s life, and this situation is to be rectified immediately.  I’ll let you know how it goes…

What are your photo solutions?  When do you take pictures and of what?
