People who don’t know me well, don’t know how to approach any baby-related subject with me.  They are divided into those who go about it in the worst ways, and those who steer completely clear of me.

People who know me well, still don’t know how to approach any baby-related subject, but have had the insight and courtesy to ask me openly about what to do.  Thank you.

Having thought long and hard about this, I’m sorry I don’t have a clear answer for you.  I’m sure that different times present different moods, thoughts and difficulties for each of us.  I’m sure that some conversations will be more strenuous than others.  I’m sure we’ll both have to rise above these difficult times, call them what they are, and move on.

So, the best approach is the direct approach.  Let’s talk about the whole truth, as soon as possible.  Get over the obstacles, and continue to enjoy our normal relationship.

After all, most baby related news tends to come out eventually.
