Welcome!

My name is Lili, I’m 32 years old.  All my life I’ve been interested in babies and motherhood, paying close attention to family and friends in conversation.  I was 24 when I got married, in hopes of bringing my dreams of family to life as soon as possible.  But my life took a different path, and we struggled for six years before finally bringing our little girl into our home, with the help of a surrogate mother.

Along the way I found that sharing and talking about these motherhood and fertility issues can be a big help, but many topics remain largely off limits still today.  I wish I had experienced open talk of some of the things I felt I encountered for the first time alone.  So I started talking, hoping to help someone else.

I have lectured to small groups and large, in meetings, courses and conventions, about the many aspects of my long journey.  From the fertility treatments, to loss and depression, as well as motherhood after a struggle and nursing a baby I didn’t give birth to.  I invite you to check out my lectures page to see if something interests you.

The blog portion of this website will include many topics about my motherhood experiences now, and some about the journey that got me here, as well as how they intersect.  I invite all mothers everywhere (including fathers, grandmothers, mothers-to-be etc.) to come and share their experiences and thoughts with me as well in the comments sections.  I can’t wait to hear from you and share our stories!
